Millennium Point is a building, designed by Nicholas Grimshaw
and Partners, housing a centre
for technology and learning in Birmingham. It comprises several destinations including a science museum, an IMAX cinema, the Technology Innovation Centre, the Young People’s Parliament and a five storey atrium with shops and cafés.
Working closely with the architects and project management team we developed wayfinding principles and signage design for this busy building and external spaces.
We introduced a powerful supergraphic approach including giant yellow cubes at key decision points which act as wayfinding beacons.
